1872.] OF THE SENATE. 405. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re- enact section 6, of Article LXXIX., of the Code of Public- General Laws, title "Releases and Receipts." Endorsed, "Reported unfavorably from the Committee on the Judiciary, and the report adopted." Also, The (Senate bill, entitled a supplement to an Act to incor- porate the Maryland State Bible Society, and to change the name of said corporation to the Maryland Bible Society. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." Also) The Senate bill, entitled an Act ceding to the United States'. of America, jurisdiction over the land contained within the enclosure of the National Cemetery near Annapolis. Endorsed, "Considered, and passed by yeas and nays with the following amendment." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Section 1, line 4, after the word "date," insert "28th day of July, 1871." Which was concurred in. Said bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
