Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Ohesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Travers presented the petition of Robert Garrett &
SOBS, and others, remonstrating against any change in the
Mortgage law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Miller presented the petition of W. Helleany and
sixty-four other citizens of Frederick county, against any
law prohibiting the sale of spirituous liquors in Petersville
.District of said county.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
Mr. Henkle presented the petition of sundry citizens and
business men of Baltimore, praying for extension and im-
provement of the wharf, known as the "County Wharf," for
a wholesale market, &c.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
Mr. Miller presented the petition of John Lindsey and
thirty other citizens of Frederick county, asking that the
property of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company be;
taxed.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.
Mr. Henkle presented the petition of John C. Pennington
and others, praying to have Anne Arundel county exempted
from the provisions of the Mortgage Law now pending in the
Legislature.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Mr. Ardinger presented the petition of Joseph P. Minz,
John W. Garver, and fifty-five other citizens of Washington
county, praying for the repeal of chapter 98, of the Act of
1867, forbidding the sale of agricultural implements not
manufactured in the State, within the limits of Washington
county, without a special license.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Wells presented the petition of the Catholic clergy of
Annapolis, asking for an appropriation.
