Also,
The House bill, entitled an Act to enable the Rev. R.
Fuller, of Baltimore, to convey certain effects and property
by his last will and testament.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings.
Also,
The House bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the West-
over and Fauquier Railroad Company, in Somerset county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Dennis, Craw-
ford and Fields.
Mr. Williams, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company,
Reported said bill with the following amendments :
Amend the title of the bill so as to read:
An Act to amend, the charter of the Baltimore and Drum
Point Railroad Company, by increasing the number of the
Directors of said company, authorizing said company to
mortgage its property and franchises, and to build and con-
struct bridges over navigable water,
Add the following sections :
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the President and Directors
of the said company are hereby authorized and empowered
to execute a mortgage or mortgages, or deed or deeds of trust,
of any or all of the real and personal property of every kind
and description belonging to the said company, together with
the franchises of the said company, for the purpose of secur-
ing the payment of any bonds or certificates of indebtedness
to be issued by the said company, and the interest on the
same, for which interest coupons may be attached to the said
bonds ; and such bonds and coupons may be made payable
upon such terms, and in such times, as the said President
and Director* may deem proper.
Sac. 4. And be it enacted, That the said. company be, and
the same is hereby, authorized and empowered, to build and
construct and maintain such bridge or bridges over any navi-
gable water or waters, stream or streams, on the line or route
of their said railroad, between the City of Baltimore and
Drum Point, as the said railroad may be located, and on the
line or route of any branch of the said railroad, as the Presi-
dent and Directors of the said company may deem expedient
