Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Spates, from a Select Committee, to which leave had. been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to provide for taking the vote of the people for or against a new election district in Allegany county, at the election to be held in the fall of 1872. Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed. Mr. Henry, from a Select Committee, reported A bill, entited an Act to repeal section 82, of Article X., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Church Creek," and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 19, of Article X., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorches- 1872.] OF THE SENATE. 379 and City Council of Baltimore City, to subscribe to the bond; of the Western Maryland Railroad Company, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE, Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, Spates, Denson, Sellman, Downs, Spencer, Dennis, Steiner, Earle, Timmons, Henry, Tuck, Jump, Williams—19. Longwell, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Stephenson, Blake, Spates, Compton, Sellman, Denson, Spencer, Dennis, Steiner, Earle, Timmons, Henry, Williams, Longwell, Tuck—17. Miller, NEGATIVE—None. |
