The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3,
5, and 9, of the Acts of Assembly of 1868, chapter 368, entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Martin's Inlet Naviga-
tion Company, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Reported favorably thereon, and. said bill was read the
second time.
Mr. Blake presented the petition of numerous citizens of
Baltimore, praying certain action relating to the advance
mortgage law.
Which was read and laid on the table.
Also,
The petition of numerous citizens of Baltimore, praying
an increase of jurisdiction to Justices of the Peace.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings.
Mr. Stephenson, from a Select Committee, to which leave
had been granted, reported '
The bill, entitled an Act to provide for a supply of water
in the town of Hagerstown.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Henry, from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Dorchester County to subscribe to the capital stock
of the Vienna Railroad Company.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which leave
had been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to pay Wm. Knabe & Go. a sum of
money for a Piano furnished to the Governor's Mansion.
Which, was read the first time.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered
the following bills :
The House bill, entitled an Act to refund to G. W. Oldham, of Cecil county, a sum of money erroneously paid into
the Treasury.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,
The House bill, entitled an Act to amend the Charter of
the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company, and to
increase the number of Directors.
