Mr. Den son, from a Select Committee, to which had been referred The House bill, entitled an Act to make valid an election made in Baltimore* City on the 20th day of February, 1872, reported favorable thereon, and Said bill was read the second time. On motion by Mr. Denson, The rules were suspended, as required by the Constitution, section 27, Article III., so as to give said bill a third reading this day, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Miller, Carroll. Stephenson, Denson, Spates, Davis, Bellman, Downs, Spencer Dennis, Steiner, Earle, Timmons, Jump, Williams—18. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Miller, Compton, Stephenson, Carroll, Spates, Denson, Sellman, Downs, Spencer, Dennis, Timmons, Earle, Tuck, Jump, Williams—17. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegate?. On motion by Mr. Dennis, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Westover and Jerico Railroad Company. Mr. Carroll called up the bill changing the name of the Pittsburg and Connellsville Railroad Company. 23 |
