Also, reported favorably, on The House bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article LXXXI., of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Assessment of Stocks for State Purposes." Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee, reported favorably, The Senate bill, entitled an Act to add a new section to Article LVL, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating -to Licenses. Which was read the first time. Also, from the same Committee, to which leave had been ,granted, Reported a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Real .Estate Bank of Baltimore. Which was read the first time. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceeding, to "which had been referred The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of .Article LXIV., of the Code of Public General Laws, relat- ing to Mortgages, and to re-enact the same with amend- ments, Reported said bill with the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Add at the end of the bill, "Nor to any mortgages given by Brewers to Malters*, to -secure the payment to the latter, of debts contracted by the former, for malt and other materials used in the making of malt liquors." On motion by Mr. Tuck, The further consideration of said amendment was post- poned until Wednesday next. Mr. Miller, from the same Committee, to which had been referred, The House bill, entitleed an Act to repeal sections 25 and 26, of Article XVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Chancery, and to re-enact the same with amend- ments. |
