Article LVL, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceeding, to

The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of
.Article LXIV., of the Code of Public General Laws, relat-
ing to Mortgages, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,
Reported said bill with the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at the end of the bill,
"Nor to any mortgages given by Brewers to Malters*, to
-secure the payment to the latter, of debts contracted by the
former, for malt and other materials used in the making of
malt liquors."
On motion by Mr. Tuck,
The further consideration of said amendment was post-
poned until Wednesday next.
Mr. Miller, from the same Committee, to which had been
referred,
The House bill, entitleed an Act to repeal sections 25 and
26, of Article XVI., of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to Chancery, and to re-enact the same with amend-
