Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment to
said hill:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add as section 4: And be it enacted that the Legislature
reserves to itself the right to amend or repeal this Act at
pleasure. *
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal and amend the
charter of the Green Spring Avenue Company, reported
favorably thereon, and
Reported favorably thereon, and
Said bill was read the second time.
Also, from the same Committee, to which had been re-
ferred,
The House bill, entitled an Act to lay off certain streets in
Baltimore county, adjoining the City of Baltimore,
Reported' said bill, with the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
"Strike out the seventh section."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
Mr. Spates, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to enable the County Com-
missioner of Allegany county to appoint a County Trea-
surer,
Reported said bill with the following amendment,
Section 5, line 15, after the word "paid," strike out all to
the word "to," in line 19.
Which was adopted.
Said bill as amended, was then read the second time.
Mr. Earle, from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact sections 35,
36, 37, 38 and 39 of Article XI V. of the Code of Public
