President, Jump, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Carroll, Stephenson, Claggett, Spencer, Davis, Tuck, Downs, Wilson—15. Henry, NEGATIVE. Messrs. Dennis, Steiner, Earle, Timmons, Fields, Williams—7. Sellman, The President laid before the Senate a communication from Wm. Knabe & Co., asking to be paid for a piano furnished the Executive Mansion. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ' Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, to which leave had been granted, reported a bill, entitled an Act to amend, and re-enact section 47, 49, 51 and 63, of Article LXXXI, of the Code of Public General taws, title "Revenue and. Taxes." Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed. Also, from the same Committee to which had been re- ferred, The House bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claims of Daniel M. Thomas and others, Reported favorably thereon, and On motion of Mr. Earle, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Finance. Also, from the same Committee to which had been referred,.
