sub-title "Assessment of Stocks for State Purposes."
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,
The House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act incorpor-
ating the Western Maryland. Railroad Company, and to give
additional powers to said company,
Was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
Also,
The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the German
American Bank of Baltimore,
Was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,
The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize W. H. B.
Dorsey, of CarroII county, to close a road,
Was read and referred to Messrs. Longwell, Wilson and.
Carroll.
Mr. Compton, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Charles county, to review and correct the
assessment of the lands of Elizabeth E. Matthews, reported
favorably thereon, and
Said bill was read the second time.
Mr. Spencer, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to. repeal section 7, of the
Act passed March 8th, 1856, chapter 148, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Kent County Railroad Company, and to re-
enact the same with amendments, reported favorably there-
on, and
Said bill was read the second time.
Mr. Jump, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The petition of W. H, Bruff and forty others, praying an
increase of pay to jurors in Talbot county, reported unfavora-
bly thereon, and
The report was adopted.
