324 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 1, The following Senate bills having passed both Branches of the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day pre- sented to his Excellency, the Governor, for his approval: An Act to exempt all that portion of the waters of the Chesapeake Bay lying northward of a certain line therein described, from the operation and effects of sections 1 and 3, of Article XCVIII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Wild Fowl," and to enact other sections, to be in force and operation in, on, and over said waters. An Act to incorporate the Maryland Jockey Club. A supplement to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Hillen Road Company, of Baltimore county, passed at Janu- ary Session, 1854, chapter 99, and supplements thereto, passed at January Session, 1860, chapter 51, and at January Session, 1867, chapter 114. An Act to repeal section 65, Article XIX, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset county, relating to the num- ber of Justices of the Peace and Constables for said county, and to re-enact the same with amendments. An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments chapter 44, of the Act of 1870, entitled an Act to repeal and re- enact with amendments section 170, Article XXX, Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Rivers." . An Act to repeal sections 198, of Article III, Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore County," sub-title "Sheriff," and re- enact the same to read as follows.
