3872.} OF THE SENATE. 321 Claggett, Spates, Denson, Sellman, Earle, Tuck, Fields, Wilson—17. Henry, Mr. Henry, from a Select Committee, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 47, Article XVIII., of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Clerks of Courts," so far as the same applies to Talbot county, and to re-enact the same with amendment. Which was read the first time. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to regulate the Public Roads in Wicomico county, Being upon its second reading. Mr. Crawford submitted the following amendment: Amend by adding additional section. Section 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage. Which was adopted. Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed tor a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend an Act, entitled an Act to incorporate the Western Maryland Extension Railway Company, Being upon its second reading, Mr. Spates submitted the following amendment: Section 2, line 9, at the end of the line add, "The Gener- al Assembly of Maryland reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal this Act at pleasure." Which was adopted. Said hill, as amended, was the read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 42 of Article LI, of the Code of Public General Laws, title '"Justices of the Peace," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for third reading.
