Said Resolution was then sent to the House of Delegates.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:
The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller, to adjust and settle the accounts of B. F. May, Oscar
Hayden, H. B. Jones and W. H. Pitcher, late Inspectors of
Grain, in the City of Baltimore,
Was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and 4,
of an Act to amend the charter of the Green Spring Avenue
Company, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Davis,
Steiner and Downs.
Senate hill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870,
chapter 394, entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly
of 1867, chapter 341, relating to the valuation and assess-
ment of property in this State,
Being on it second reading,
On motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.
Mr. Claggett, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ing!, to which had been referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of
Article XI. of the Code of, Public General Laws, title "Attornies at Law and Attorneys in Fact," and re-enact the
same with an amendment, reported favorably thereon.
Said bill being on its second reading,
Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out the word "white" in line one.
The yeas and nays being called for, the amendment was
rejected, as follows:
