1872 OF THE SENATE. 319 A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act for the es- tablishment of a school in Caroline county, passed at No- vember Session, 1798. Which was read the first time. Mr. Compton presented the petition of Mrs. Mary H. Briscoe, asking to have her name restored to the Pension rolls. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen- sions. On motion by Mr. Compton, Leave was granted to Messrs. Compton, Downs and Wil- son to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commission- ers of St. Mary's county, Charles county, and Prince George's- county, to subscribe to the capital stock of the Washington City and Point Lookout Railroad. Mr. Fields submitted the following order : Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day, it stand adjourned until Monday, the 4th instant, at 12 o'clock. The yeas and nays being called upon the adoption of said order, it was adopted as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
