Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Fields presented the petition of W. Lockerman, and
others of Caroline county, asking the enactment of an option
liquor law.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Fields, Comp-
ton and Henry.
On motion by Mr. Tuck,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to provide a new Code of the Statute
Laws of the State, and to appropriate a sum of money for
that purpose.
Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to which had been referred
The petition of G. W. King and others, asking an exten-
sion of jurisidiction of Justices of the Peace,
Reported unfavorably thereon, and
The report was adopted.
Mr. Miller, from the same Committee, to which had been
referred <
House bill, entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an
Act to amend Article XVI, of the Code of Public General
Laws, by adding thereto the following section, relating to
injunctions, and to enact ii substitute therefor,
Reported favorably thereon, and
Said bill was then read the second time
Also, from the same Committee to which!) leave had been
granted, reported
A hill, entitled an Act to repeal section 42 of Article XLI.
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitle I "Justices of the
Peace," and re en let the same with amendments.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Claggett, from the same Committee, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 87 of Article LXXV.
of the Code of Public General Laws entitled "Pleadings,
Practice and Process," and to re-enact the same so as to read
as follows. .
