294 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 28, Numerous petitions praying the passage of optional liquor laws, Reported said petitions, and On his motion, the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, were relieved from further consideration of said petitions. On motion by Mr. Tuck, The said (petitions were referred to the Committee on Fi- nance. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been grunted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 135, of Article XCIII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Testa- mentary Law," so as to make the Code conform to the Act of 1868, chapter 199. Which was read the first time, Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which leave lad been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870, chapter 394, entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly of 1867, chapter 341, relating to the valuation and assessment of pro- perty in this State, Which was read the first time. Also, from the same committee, A bill, entiled an Act to prohibit the granting of licenses for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at or near Emory Grove Camp Meeting Association Grounds, near Reisterstown, in Baltimore county. Which was read the first time. Also, from the same committee to which had been re- ferred House hill, entitled an Act to allow an additional Clerk in the office of the Treasurer of this State, Reported favorably thereon, and Said bill was read the second time. Mr. Denson, from a Select Committee, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 882, of Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the City of Baltimore, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time. |
