On motion by Mr. Timmons,
Leave was granted, to Messrs. Timmons, Miller and Car-
roll to report a bill Ib authorize the Town Commissioners of
Newtown to endorse the bonds of the Worcester and Som-
erset Railroad Company to the amount of five thousand dol-
lars.
Mr. Tuck, from a Select Committee, to which leave had"
been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to"
protect the graves of former members of the Legislature
whose remains are deposited in the Annapolis cemetery.
On motion by Mr. Tuck,
Said bill was committed to the Committee on Finance.
Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported unfavorably,
The Senate bill, entitled an Act supplemental to an Act,.
passed January Session, 1870, chapter 215, entitled an Act
to appropriate a sum of money for transcribing and indexing,.
re-binding records, preserving papers, and for preparing a
digest of the laws and rules of the Land Office.
And the report was adopted.
The "House bill, entitled an Act to release the securities on
the bond of Thos McCrae, late Collector for Howard county,,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays
as follows:

chapter 274, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter
31, of the Acts of Assembly of 1865, in relation to the pub-
. lication of Local Laws, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and to amend and re-enact the same so far as relates.
