Timmons, Longwell and Carroll, to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to amend and revive an Act to incorporate the Worcester Railroad Com- pany. Mr. Henry presented the petition of H. T. Winterbottom, and one hundred and ninety-six other citizens of Dorchester county, praying the protection of the fishing interests of the people of Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties. Also, The petition of J. Jester, and thirty-seven other citizens of the same county, praying the same. Also, The petition of J. W. Beckwith, and twenty-eight other citizens of Talbot county, praying the same. Also, The petition of W. D. Noble, and twenty-three citizens of Dorchester county, praying the same. Which were severally read and referred to Messrs. Henry, Fields and Jump. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which had been referred The Senate bill, entitled an Act to supply Codes and Sup- plements to certain civil officers in Queen Anne's and Kent counties, Reported said bill with an amendment. Which was adopted. Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Also, The Senate bill, entitled an Act to pay M. A. Newell a sum of money. Which was read tie first time. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to release W. W. Wat- kins, Israel Groves, and others, sureties on the bond of Thomas M. McCrae, |
