Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1863,. chapter 88, entitled an Act to incorporate the Pittsburg and Connellsville Railroad Company, in the State of Maryland,. by changing the name of said. Company, Being upon its third reading, On motion by Mr. Stephenson, Was postponed and ordered to be printed. The President laid before the Senate the following com- munication from his Excellency, the Governor : EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, February 16th, 1872 Gentlemen of the Senate : I have approved and signed the following bill, received from your Honorable Body, and have transmitted the same to the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, in accordance with the Constitution : An Act supplemental to the Act of 1870, chapter 58, en- titled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Fred- erick county to build a new Alms-house for Frederick county; to borrow money on the credit of the county for that purpose; to issue bonds for the payment of the same; and to levy taxes on the assessable property of said county to redeem said' bonds, and to pay the interest thereon. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE, Governor. On motion by Mr. Denson, The Senate proceeded to the consideration of executive- business. The Senate having resumed the consideration of Legisla- tive business.
