236 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 16, The Senate bill, entitled an Act to add an additional sec- tion to Article XVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title '"Trustee," to follow section 139 of said Article, Being on its third reading, On motion by Mr. Stephenson, Paid bill was recommitted to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 161, of Article XXI. of the Public Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title "Hancock," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Stephenson, Blake, Sellman, Claggett, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Downs, Tuck, Jump, Wilson, Longwell, Williams—14. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown to appropriate a sum of money to purchase a hook and ladder apparatus to aid and assist the fire department of Hagerstown, and to levy a tax for the payment of the same, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays,, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Stephenson, Carroll, Sellman; Glaggett, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Downs, Tuck, Jump, Wilson, Longwell, Williams—16. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. |
