Longwell, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Senate hill, entitled an Act to exempt a portion of the waters of the Chesapeake Bay contained within certain lines therein named, from the operation of sections 1 and 3, of Ar- ticle XCIII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title, " Wild Fowl," Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Compton, Stephenson, Carroll. Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Davis, Timmons, D owns, Wilson, Dennis, Williams—14. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates, The Senate hill, entitled an Act to repeal section 161, of Article XXI., of the Public Local Laws, title, " Washing- ton County," sub-title, <c Hancock," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Hagerstown to appropriate a sum of money to purchase a hook and ladder apparatus, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act ceding to the United States of America jurisdiction over the land contained within the enclosure of the National Cemetery, near Annapolis, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. |
