Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
ions.
Mr. Spencer presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Kent county, asking the amendment of the charter of the
Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Kent county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.
Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which had been referred,
House bill, entitled an Act relating to Agents and Factors,
Reported unfavorably thereon, and
The report was adopted.
Mr. Tuck, from a Select Committee, to which had been re-
ferred House bill, entitled " an Act to prevent the carrying
of concealed weapons in the city of Annapolis,
Reported favorably, and
The bill was read the second time.
Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 193, of Article III.,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title, "Baltimore county,"
sub-title "Sheriff."
Which, was read the first time.
Mr. Spates from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Allegany county to issue bonds to raise
money to build a new jail, and to enlarge, improve and re-
pair the Court House, Clerk's office, and Register's office in
aid county.
Which was read the first time,
On motion by Mr. Davis,
The rules were suspended as required by section 27 of Arti-
cle III., of the Constitution, to give a second reading this
day to Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 193, of
Article III., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title Balti-
more county, sub-title "Sheriff,", as follows :
