1872.] OF THE SENATE. 219 House bill, entitled an Act making sundry appropriations for the support of the Government, for the year ending Janu- ary 1st, 1873, Reported favorably thereon, and Said bill was read the second time. Mr. Turk, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact sec- tion 114, of Article XCIII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title " Testamentary Law," sub-title " Debts." Which was read the first time. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and 4, of Ar- ticle XIII., of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Bastardy, and to re-enact the same with amendments, Reported unfavorably thereon, and The report was adopted. Also, Reported with amendments, Senate bill, entitled an Act to regulate and prescribe the manner of holding post mortem examinations, and On motion by Mr. Tuck, Said bill was ordered to be printed. Also, (with amendments,) Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 45, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Husband and Wife," and to re-enact a new section as section 7. Which was read the first time, and On motion by Mr. Tuck, Said bill was ordered to be printed. Mr. Stephenson presented the petition of Rev. Jas. H. Hughes and seventy-one other citizens of Harford county, praying protection lor the virtue of colored females. Which was read and laid on the table. Also, The petition of twenty-two citizens of Harford county, praying that the name of Joseph Grey be entered on the pension rolls. |
