A hill, entitled an Act to repeal section 10, of Article
XXXVII. of the Public General Laws, relating to the pay
of witnesses attending courts in this State.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
'to which had been committed
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article XVI. of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Chancery," sub-title "Trustees," to follow section 139
of said Article,
Reported said bill with the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
1. Add to the section : "And be committed to the county
"jail until the payment of the fine. The said fine snail be
deposited in the court having jurisdiction of the subject mat-
ter of said trust, to be disposed of, in the place of the prop-
erty so sold or removed, according to the provisions of said
deed, on proper proceedings being instituted at the instance
of any of the persons interested in the purposes of said trust;
and no title shall pass under sales made before filing and ap-
proval, but all such sales shall be void. It shall be the duty
of the clerks in whose offices such bonds are required to be
filed and recorded, to record all trustees' bonds, including
the bonds of the sale of estates or property by Courts of
Equity, in book kept for that purpose, and certified copies
ot such bonds shall be evidence in any of the courts of this
State."
2. "Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take ef-
fect from the day of its passage."
3. Amend the title : "An Act to amend and re-enact sec-
tion 139, of Article XVI. of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Chancery,' relating to the bonds of trustees."
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read the-second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Also, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to
'which leave had been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact sec-
tion 6, of Article LXXIX., of the Code of Public General
Laws, title " Release and Receipts."
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Carroll, from the Committee on Finance, to which
