182 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS (Jan. 26, REPORT. HOUSE OF DELEGATES, January 26, 1872. -Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: Your Committee, to whom was referred the petition and Other matters relating to the Almshouse and Hospital in Frederick county, respectfully report, taut, in the opinion of the majority of said Committee, no legislation is necessary. Your Committee respectfully ask to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject. respectfully submitted, J. M.STREETT, Chairman. Which was read. The question recurring on the adoption of said report, Mr. Clarke, of Montgomery, from a minority of said Com- mittee, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section I, of Article XI. of the Code of Public Local Laws for Frederick County, sub- title "Almshouse," and re-enact the same with amend- ments, as a substitute lor the report of the majority of the 'Committee. The question recurring upon the reception of the minority report of the Committee, On motion of Mr. Miller, The yeas and nays were called and appeared as follows:
