Comptroller's Office,
ANNAPOLIS, Feb. 12, 1873.
HON. HENRY SNYDER,
President of the Senate:
DEAR SIR—In obedience to the order passed by the Senate,
as follows, viz: "Ordered, That the Comptroller of the'
Treasury prepare and send to the Senate, a list of persons
drawing pensions under the Act of 1870, and also a lilt of
those barred by the proviso in said bill," I have the honor
to transmit to your Honorable Body the accompanying state-
ment, showing the names of all persons who have received
one or more quarters' pension from this State, under the Act
of Assembly, passed at January Session, 1870, chapter 477.
I have the honor also to state, that all other persons named
in said Act, and not included in the enclosed statement, have-
failed, from some cause, to prove themselves entitled to re-
ceive payment under said law.

Senate, at an early day, from the Pension Bureau at Wash-
ington, a list of all citizens of this State receiving pensions
under the General Government, under the law passed by
Congress, granting pensions to soldiers of the war of 1812, 'f
I have the honor to transmit to your Honorable Body the®
enclosed letter and statements from the Acting Commissioner of Pensions of the United States.
