1872.] OF THE SENATE. 189 Section 10, line 23, after the word "tax-payer," insert, "or out of said real estate." Section 10, line 24, after the word "special," insert, "and such release and exemption shall have full power and validity to prevent the enforcement of any and all such tax or asessment against the said real estate in the hands of the heir, devisee or alienee of such tax-payer forever thereafter." Which were adopted. Said bill as amended, was then read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The following Senate bills having passed both branches of the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented to his Excellency, the Governor, for his approval: An Act to confirm and approve an Act passed at January Session, 1870, chapter '2, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Frederick county to subscribe to the stock of the Turnpike Companies' in said county. An Act to change the name of (he Children's Aid Society of Baltimore, to the name of the Henry Watson Children's Aid Society of Baltimore, and otherwise to amend the Con- stitution of said Society. An Act to permit Frederick Charles Edmund Petre, an alien, to hold certain real estate. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Miller until Tuesday morning. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Earle until Saturday, the .17th instant. On motion by Mr, Blake, The Senate adjourned. |
