182 JOURNAL OF "PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 9, The House bill authorizing the proprietors of Greenmount Cemetery to increase the permanent fund for the maintenance thereof, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Blake, Longwell, Crawford, Stephenson, Claggett, Spates, Davis, Spencer, Dennis, Steiner, Fields, Timmons—14. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The House bill, entitled an Act to confirm the bequest of Rev. J. Dolan, deceased, to the Young Catholics' Friend So- ciety of Baltimore, for the purpose of establishing a Chil- dren's Aid Society, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Miller, Crawford, Stephenson, Claggett, Spates, Denson, Spencer, Dennis, . Steiner. Fields, Timmons—15. Henry, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The House hill, entitled an Act to repeal section 15 of Ar- ticle L. entitled "Juries" of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same with amendments, giving the State the right of peremptory challenge in certain cases, Being upon its third reading, On motion by Mr. Miller, The further consideration of said. bill was postponed until Wednesday, 14th instant, and made the order of the day for 1 o'clock.
