Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal Resolution No. 46 of December Session 1811, relating to the Hagerstown Academy, and to enact the following in lieu thereof, Being upon its second reading, On motion by Mr. Claggett, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Education. The House bill, entitled an Act authorizing Dr. William Stewart, guardian of John Walter, a minor, to pass his final account with the Orphans' Court of Somerset county, . Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, Spates, Crawford, Sellman, Claggett, Spencer, Davis, Steiner, Dennis, Timmons—15. Henry, NEGATIVE—Mr. Fields—1. On motion by Mr. Stephenson, The vote by which said bill was passed was reconsidered. On motion by Mr. Fields, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize ana empower the County Commissioners of Carroll county to subscribe to the capital stock of the Turnpike Companies in Carroll county, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows : |
