the fifth section thereof, and re-enacting the same with

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction
of Justices of the Peace for Talbot county, to cases of assault
and battery,
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrosser for
a third reading.
On motion by Mr. Blake,
Leave was granted to the Senators from Baltimore City, to
introduce a bill to repeal section 212, Public Local Laws of
Baltimore City, title "Elections," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.
On motion by Mr. Longwell,
Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Wilson until Wed-
nesday next.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 171, of
Article XCIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to the investment by Guardians,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nay, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
