The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of Ar- ticle LXIV. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to mortgages, Was read the first time and. referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. The House bill, entitled an Act entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore county, adjoining Baltimore City, and to repeal certain Acts incon- sistent therewith, passed by the General Assembly of Mary- land, January Session, 1870, chapter 99, Was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Davis, Steiner and Longwell. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered the following message : BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, February 6, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate: We have received your message requesting the return of Senate bill No. 7, entitled an Act to repeal the 41st, 42d, and 43d sections of the 56th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Licenses, and concur therein, and herewith return the said bill. By order, MILTON Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. Mr. Miller moved a call of the Senate, and nineteen Sena- tors responding, On motion by Mr. Carroll, Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with. On motion by Mr. Earle, The operation of the 25th Rule of the Senate were sus- pended (two-thirds of all the Senators elected concurring,) so as to reconsider the vote by which the bill named in the House Message, and known as the " Sample Traders' License Bill" was passed, On motion by Mr. Carroll, The vote by which said bill passed the Senate was reconsidered, and on his motion the said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Finance. |
