Also, reported favorably on The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal chapter 189, passed at January Session, 1870, relating to Queen Anne's, Dorches- ter and Somerset counties, commonly known as the Dog Law. Said bill was then read the second time. On motion by Mr. Earle, The rules were suspended, as required by section 27 of Article III. of the Constitution, so as to give the said bill a third reading this day, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, ' ' Spates, Carroll, Sellman, Crawford, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Davis, Timmons, Earle, Wilson, Fields, Williams—19. Henry, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, Spates, Carroll, Sellman, Crawford, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Davis, Timmons, Earle, Wilson, Fields Williams—19. Henry, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill", entitled an Act to release the securities on the offi- cial bonds of Charles Parker, Collector of State Taxes for Worcester county for the years 1866 and 1867. Which was read the first time. |
