Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 80 of Public Local Laws, passed February 16, 1864, chapter 96, and the supplements thereto, section 3, chapter 27, of the Public Local Laws passed February 18, 1865, en' titled an Act, a supplement to an Act, passed by the Gen- eral Assembly of Muryland January Session, 1864, chapter 96, entitled an Act to incorporate the Liberty and New Windsor Turnpike Eoad Company in Frederick and Oar- roll counties. Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Corporations. On motion by Mr. Steiner, The Senate adjourned. WEDNESDAY, February 7, 1872. The Senate met. Prayer by Rev. Mr. Southgate. Present at roll call the following Senators : Messrs. President, Blake, Compton, Carroll, Crawford, Claggett, Denson, Earle, Fields, Longwell, Miller, Spates, Sellman, Spencer, Steiner, Timmons, Wilson, Williams—18. The Proceedings of yesterday were read and. approved. Mr. Fields presented the petition of Messrs. S. H. Ander- sen, O. E. Janall, R. O. Carter, and thirty-six others, citi- zens of Caroline county, asking the passage of a law prohibit- ing stock of all kinds running upon the public highways of said county. Which was read, and Mr. Fields moved to refer the said petition to the Commit- tee on Agriculture. Which was determined in the negative. |
