Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act, passed at January Session, 1858, chapter 201, entitled an Act to incor- porate and endow the Cembridge Female Academy, so as to change the name of the corporation to that of the Cambridge Female Seminary, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Senate bill, entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland State Bible Society, passed December Session, 1842, chapter 290, and to change the name of said corporation to the Maryland Bible Society. Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays,, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Stephenson, - Compton, Spencer, , Crawford, Steiner, Earle, Wilson, Henry, Williams—13: Jump, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 93 of Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and to enact the following section in lieu thereof, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and 'nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, Sellman, Crawford, Spencer, Earle, Steiner, Henry, Wilson, Jump, Williams—14. NEGATIVE—None. On motion by Mr. Earle, The vote by which the said bill was passed, Was reconsidered, and The bill was referred back to the Committee on Finance. |
