Maryland Bible Society. Which was read the first time. Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to which leave had been granted, reported A hill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 117 and,121, of Article I., of the Code of Local Laws of Allegany county, relating to the town of Oakland in said county, and to sub- stitute in lieu of sections 117 and 121 the following. Which was read the first time. Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to which had been referred House bill, entitled an act supplementary to an Act passed February 17, 1847, chapter 68, entitled an Act to incorpo- rate the Trustees of Buckingham Academy and Berlin Fe- male Seminary, Reported favorably thereon. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Spates, from a Select Committee, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to the Public Local Laws of Allegany county, Article I, and to re- peal sections 24, 25 and 26 thereof, and to re-enact the same, with amendments. Which was read the first time. Mr. Timmons, from a Select Committee, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to change the dividing line be- tween the First and Eighth Election Districts of Worcester county. Which was read the first time. On motion by Mr. Spates, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to alter and amend the charter of the Empire Coal Company of Allegany county.
