House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, to issue and lend to the Western
Maryland Railroad Company the stock of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, to the amount of one million of dol-
lars, redeemable on the first day of January, 1902, and bear-
ing interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum, from the
first day of January, 1872, to aid in the construction of the
railroad of said company.
Which was read the third time, and referred to Messrs.
Denson, Blake, and Longwell.
Also,
House bill, entitled sin Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, to issue the bonds of said city, to
an amount not exceeding two hundred thousand dollars, as
approved by an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, entitled '-An Ordinance tor the extension of Patterson Park," approved June 23, 1871.
Which was read the first time, and referred (to Messrs.
Denson, Blake, and Henry.
On motion by Mr. Blake,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, to amend and add to section five of
Article LXIV., of the Code of Public General Law?, entitled
" Mortgages."
House bill, entitled an Act regulating fences in Wicomico
county,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
Messrs. President, Fields,
Blake, Henry,
Carroll, Jump,
Crawford, Longwell,
Claggett, Miller,
Denson, Stephenson,
Davis, Steiner—15.
Earle,
NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
Mr. Denson moved a call of the Senate, and
The Seargent-at-Arms was sent to notify the absent mem-
bers that their presence was required in the Senate Chamber.
