to House message of January 9th:
BY THE SENATE,
January 30th, 1872.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a Joint Special Committee to visit and examine into the
condition of the Maryland Penitentiary, and non-concur
therein.
And propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, the appointment of a Joint Special Committee of five,
two on the part of the Senate and three on the part of the
