Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal the forty-first, forty-
second and forty-third sections of Article LVI. of the Code of
Public Local Laws, relating to Licenses, and to re-enact the
same with amendments, and also to add additional sections
to said Article,
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
HOD. J, Thomson Mason, Secretary of State, appeared with
the following communication from his Excellency, Governor
Whyte:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
ANNAPOLIS, January 26, 1872
Gentlemen of the Senate :
I have approved and signed the following bill, received
from your Honorable Body, and have transmitted the same
to the Clerk of the (Court of Appeals, in accordance with the
provisions of section 17, Article II., and section 30, Article
]![., of the Constitution, viz :
An Act, entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Germania Library Association of Baltimore,
passed at December Session, 1841, chapter 37.

Senate bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Jockey Club,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
