On motion by Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, entitled, an Act relating to garnishees
in attachments.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 10, of
Article XXXVII. of the Public General Laws. relating to
the compensation of witnesses, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.
Mr. Denson presented the petition of W- H. Perot, an
alien, praying the passage of a law enabling him to hold
real estate.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.
Mr. Wilson presented the petition of Philemon Jones and
other citizens of Prince George's county, praying the passage
of laws to tax the capital stock of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company, and to compel said Company to pay into
the Treasury the amounts found and decreed by the Courts
to be due the State.
Also,
The petition of Jno. Leizier, Geo. White, and other citi-
zens of Prince George's County, praying the same.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
-on Finance.
Mr. Wilson presented the petition of W. H. Warfield and
sixty-two other citizens of Prince George's county, praying
the enactment of measures of economy, retrenchment and re-
form.
Also,
Petition of E. H. Scott, C. F. Connick and sixty-one other
citizens of Prince George's county, praying the same.
Also,
Petition of Richd. Wooten, Jonathan Wooten and thirty-six other citizens of Prince George's county, praying the
same.
Which were severally read, and referred to the Committee
on Finance.
