1872 OF THE SENATE. US MONDAY, January 29, 1872. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Present at the roll call the following Senators : Messrs. President, Crawford, Davis, Dennis, Earle, Fields, Henry, Jump, Stephenson, Spates, Steiner, Wilson—12. No quorum present, the Senate adjourned. TUESDAY, January 30, 1872. The Senate met. Prayer by Rev. Mr. Highley. Present at roll call the following Senators : Messrs. President. Blake, Carroll, Crawford, Claggett, Denson, Davis, Earle, Fields, Henry, Jump, Longwell, Miller, Stephenson, Spates, Sellman, Sterner, Tuck, Wil- son—19. The Journal of yesterday was read and approved. On motion by Mr. Henry, Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro- duce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay Alfred J. Mobray, late Collector of Taxes in Dorchester county, the amount overpaid by him into the Treasury. On motion by Mr. Sellman, , Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro- duce a bill to give Eleanor W. Fletchall and Catharine Aud, widows of George W. Fletchall and Asa Aud, soldiers of the war of 1812, pensions. On motion by Mr. Tuck, Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report a bill, entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 63 of Article LXXXI. of Public General Laws, title "Revenue |
