110 JOURNAL (OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 26. Was read the first time, and referred to Messrs. Stephen- son, Davis and Claggett. Also, House bill, entitled an Act to authorize Marcellus W. J. Larmore to settle his account as guardian to Ambrose H. D. Larmore, and to pay over all money due said ward. Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings. Also, House bill, entitled an Act, supplementary to an Act passed February, 17th, 1847, chapter 68, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of Buckingham Academy and Ber- lin Female Seminary. Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee on Corporations. Also, House bill, entitled an Act to alter and amend sections 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198 and 199 of Article I. of the supple- ment to the Code of Public Local Laws, under the head of Allegany county, relating to birds, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs. Spates, Carroll and Timmons. Senate bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Jocky Club, Was read the second time. Mr. Stephenson offered the following amendment: Amend section 6, line 2, after the word (( passage," " and the Legislature reserves the right to amend this Act at pleasure." Which was adopted. Said bill, as amended, was ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act of January Session, 1865, chapter 206, entitled an Act to incorporate the Lincoln Coal, Iron, and Fire-Brick and Oil Company, of Allegany county, by adding certain additional sections changing its name, providing for increase of the number of Directors of the Company, and for the appointment of a Vice-President to said Company, Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. |
