ANNAPOLIS, MD., January 25, 1872.
To Hon. Henry Snyder,
President of the Senate :
\ have the honor herewith to acknowledge the communication of 'your Honorable Body, requesting information as to
the rents of any one or part of' one of the State Tob acco Ware-
houses, and "disposition of the money" received by me.
The report of the Department of Labor and Agriculture
for tile years 1868, '9, reply to the only .section rented in
Warehouse No. '2, the Inspector of Tobacco having received,
and retained said receipts to the State, as per their respective
reports, now filed with the Comptroller.
The report of' the Department fur the years of 1870, '71,
will account for the rents of those years and their application.
This report will be submitted soon as printed, or can be had,
if desired by} your Honorable Body, in manuscript.

On motion by Claggett,
Referred to the Committee on Public Buildings.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned :
Senate bill, entitled an Act to change the name of the
Children's Aid Society of Baltimore to the name of the Henry
Watson's Children's Aid Society of Baltimore, and other-
wise to amend the constitution of the said society.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
And delivered the following bills,
House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 39 of Article
XV. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Montgom-
ery County," relating to Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles in said county, and to re-enact the same so as to read as
follows.
Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs. Sell-
man, Dennis and Crawford.
Also,
House bill, entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Boards of County Commissioners of Baltimore and Harford
counties, at the joint expense of said counties, to build a
'bridge over the Little Gunpowder River, at or near Joshua
VS.. Green's ford.
