Mr. Williams submitted the following message: BY THE SENATE, January 25, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, to appoint a Joint Committee of three from the Sen- ate and five from the House, to be appointed, respectively, by the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House, to visit the Maryland Hospital for the Insane, and report to this General Assembly at an early day as practicable, whether the institution is ready to receive patients, if not, when it will he ready, and to report upon all matters which may be of interest to the State., We have appointed on part of the Senate Messrs. Wil- liams, Fields and Denson. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. Which was read. Mr, Stephenson called for the yeas and nays upon the Adoption of the message.
