Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 16 of the Act, passed at December Session, 1845, (.'chapter 37, entitled an Act to incorporate." (ho Mutual Insurance company of Wash- ington county, and amend and re-enact1' the said sixteenth section, and to repeal tin' several Act-) supplementary there- to, and amendatory thereof, and to amend and re-enact the 10th section, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Carroll, Longwell, Crawford, Miller, Claggett, Stephenson, Denson, Sellman, Downs, Spencer, Earle, Steiner, Fields, Timmons—16. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the- House of Delegates!''-'.-;. Mr. Claggett asked Leave to introduce a bill to repeal certain -sections of Ar- ticle XI., of the Cede of Public Local Laws, {or Frederick county, sub-title " Almshouse," .inn re-enact the same with amendments, And moved to refer said leave to a Special Committee. Mr. Steiner moved to amend the motion of Mr. Claggett by referring .--said leave to the Committee on Judicial Pro- ceedings. The question being put, It was determined in the negative, The vote recurring upon the oriniginal motion of Mr. Clag- gett to refer the said leave to a Special Committee, It was adopted. The President appointed Messrs. Claggett', Steiner and Sell man said committee. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which had been referred the petition of Harriet Ann Aires asking an appropriation of money, Reported unfavorably thereon. |
