Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
leave had been granted, reported, /
A Bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act, passed at Jan-
uary Session, 1865, chapter 206, entitled an Act to incorpor-
ate the Lincoln Coal, Iron, Fire-Brick and Oil Company, of
Allegany county, by adding thereto certain additional sec-
tions changing its name, and providing for the increase of
the number of directors, and for the appointment of a vice-
president to said company.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
had been referred,
House Bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Manor Mining and Manufacturing Company, passed January
Session, 1853, chapter 166,
Reported favorably thereon.
Said bill was then read the second time.
Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to which had been recommitted,
Senate Bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, chapter 44, of the Act of 1870, entitled an Act
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, section 170, Ar-
ticle XXX., Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Rivers,"
Reported said bill with the following amendments :
Strike out the tenth line and insert in lieu thereof, "twen-
ty dollars, nor more than one hundred and fifty dollars, one
half."
Amend by adding after the fifteenth line,
Provided, That nothing herein contained shall be con-strued to apply to the improvement of harbors, or to affect
any existing Act of the Assembly relating to the construc-
tion of wharves, or to rights of riparian proprietors.
Raid bill, as amended, was read the second time, and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
had been referred House bill, entitled an Act to repeal cer-
tain sections of, and amend the charter of the Old Town
Savings' Institution, of Baltimore, and to change the name
of said body corporate to the Old Town Bank of Baltimore,
Reported favorably theron, and
The said. bill was read the second time.
