1872.] OF THE SENATE. 97 On motion by Mr. Wilson, '' Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to pre- pare and report a bill, to provide for the payment to Mrs. Elizabeth Ryon, widow of Thos. Ryon, soldier of the war of 1812, arrears of pensions lost by the accidental omission of her name from the Act of 1870, chapter 477. On motion by Mr. Davis, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to prepare and report a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore County and Towsontown Railroad Company. Mr. Wilson, from the Committee on Education, to which leave had been granted, repented A bill, entitled (in Act to repeal resolution No. -16, of De- cember Session, 1811, relating to the Hagerstown Academy, and to enact the following in lieu. Which was lead the first time. Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been granted, reported. A bill, entitled an Act to amend the 36th section of Ar- ticle XVI. of the Public General Laws of this State, title "Chancery," sub-title "Infants," by repealing the said. sec- tion, and re-enacting the same as follows. Which was read the first time. Mr. Spates, -from the Committee on Corporal ions, to which leave had been granted, reported, A Bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Jockey- Club. Which was read the first time, On motion by Mr. Earle, Leave of absence was granted to Mr, Downs until Wed- nesday next. On motion by Mr. Stephenson, Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Tuck until Wednes- day next. On motion by Mr. Fields, Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Denson until Friday next. On motion by Mr. Wilson, Leave of absence wan granted to Mr. Compton for a few days. T |
