nance.
Mr. Denson presented the petition of Matthew Murray,.
asking a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Jump presented the petition of Ann Moran, widow of
Gabriel Moran, of the 43d Maryland Militia, (war 1812,)
asking a pension.
Which was read and referred to thy Committee on Pen-
sions.
Air. Jump presented the petition of Rebecca C. Rhodes,,
asking a pension.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen
sions.
Mr. Longwell presented the petition of Reuben Saylor and
others, in relation to the formation of a new election district
in Oarroll county
Which was lead and referred to Messrs. Longwell, Miller
and Timmons?.
Mr. Longwell presented the petition of Reuben Saylor and
others, praying the passage of an Act to incorporate the town
of Union Bridge, in Carrol I county.
Which was read and referred to a Select. Committee con-
sisting of Messrs. Longwell, Miller and Timmons.
On motion by Mr. Steiner,
Leave wag granted to the Committee in ('''Corporations to
prepare and report a 1) 11, entitled'' i 'miner supplement to
the Act entitled .'in Act to incorporated the Fredericktown
Savings' Institution, passed at December Session, 1827, chap-
ter 142, of the General Assembly of Maryland, repealing the fifth .-section thereof, and re-enacting the same with amend-
ments.
On motion by Mr. Carroll,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
prepare and report a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Jockey Club.
Mr. Claggett, from a Select Committee to which leave had
been granted, reported a bill, entitled an Act to repeal section
16 of the Act passed at December Session, 1845, chapter 37,
entitled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company
of Washington county, and amend and re-enact the said 16th.
