cery," sub-title " Infants."
On motion by Mr. Spates,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
prepare and report a bill to incorporate the Queen City Sav-
ings' Bank, of Cumberland; Mil.
On motion by Mr. Spates,
. Leave was granted to) Messrs Spates, Carroll and Tim-
mons, to prepare and report a bill lor the repeal of the Act's
of 1868, chapter 256, relating to Allegany county, ami re-
enact the same with amendments, etc.
On motion by Mr, Spates,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
prepare and report a, bill to authorize the City of Cumberland
to issue bonds, for the purpose of providing tor the payment
and extension of the water mains through said city, etc.
Mr. Steiner, from Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported a bill, entitled an Act to confirm.
and approve an Act passed at January Session, 1870,
chapter 2.
Which was read the first time.

On motion by Mr. Denson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to prepare and introduce a bill to amend and add to
the Eleventh Section of Article X of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Attachments."
The bill, entitled an Act to allow Frederick Charles Ed-
mund Petre, an alien, to hold certain real estate,
Was read a second time, and
On motion by Mr. Tuck,
Was referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
The President laid before the Senate a communication from
the Commissioner of the Land Office.
