Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Federal
Relations
Mr. Denson presented a petition from the Board of Mana-
gers of the Bed Men's Hall, praying exemption from taxes.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Mr. Stephenson presented the memorial of the Faculty of
Dental Surgery, asking pecuniary aid from the State.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,
A petition of the Trustees of Deer Creek Harmony Church,
in Harford County, asking that the bequest of Mrs. Ann
' Stump may receive the sanction of the Legislature.
Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Stephenson, dag-
ger, and Fields.
On motion by Mr. Claggett, it was
Ordered, That John Williams, late Door Keeper to the
Senate, and H. Owens Touchstone, late Messenger to the
President of the Senate, be each paid for eight days' attend-
ance, at the rates prescribed by the preceding Session of the
Legislature.
On motion by Mr. Denson,
Leave was granted the Senators of Baltimore City, to pre-
pare and report a bill, entitled an Act to further amend the
charter of the Baltimore Fell's Point Hebrew Friendship
Congregation, in the City of Baltimore.
Which was referred to the Senators of Baltimore City.
On motion by Mr. Claggett,
Leave was granted Messrs. Claggett, Stephenson and
Longwell, to prepare and report a bill, entiled an Act to pro-
vide for building a Court House in Hagerstown, in Washing-
ton County.
On motion by Air. Steiner,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to prepare and report a bill, entitled an Act to make
valid certain bequests in the last will and testament of Mary
C. Reynolds, late of Frederick County, deceased.
On motion by Mr. Williams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to prepare and report a bill, to amend the 36th Section
