10 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 4, Mr. Blake submitted the following message: BY THE SENATE, January 4th, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We respectfully ask the return of the message sent by this Body to your Honorable Body with reference to a Joint Com- mittee to wait upon the Governor. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Delegates. The Clerk or the House of Delegates delivered the follow- ing message : BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, January 4th, 1872. Gentlemen- of the Senate : We have received your message asking the return to your Honorable Body of the message sent from your House this morning, ami herewith return the same. By order, MILTON Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. Which was read. On motion by Mr. Stephenson, The vote by which said message was adopted was recon- sidered, and the message ordered to lie on the table. Mr. Blake submitted the following message : By THE SENATE. January 4th, 1872 Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We have received your message proposing a Joint Com- mittee of three on the part of the House and two of the Senate to wait on the Governor, and concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Blake and Compton. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY Secretary. W Inch was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Miller, it was Ordered, That the Rules of the Iast Session of the Senate be adopted as the Rules of the present Session, until otherwise ordered. |
